My background and work experience are in research, education, computer programming, and web development. I am passionate about learning and hold degrees in Computer Information Systems, Psychology, and Education with additional training in art and design.
Web development proves to be a good fit for my varied interests. There are ALWAYS new things to learn and unique puzzles to solve. And I enjoy nothing better than a good puzzle!
When I was young I remember my parents being concerned because I seemed to shift from one passion to the next without settling on a real direction for my life. So they asked my aunt, who was a school teacher, for advice. She told them not to worry, that "a rolling stone gathers no moss but when it reaches the bottom it is well polished."
I've always loved this analogy. For me, the difficulty is not in finding something I am interested in; rather, it is in finding things I don't't want to learn about or experience. And while I'm no longer the youthful rolling stone, I hope that life experiences leave me "well polished."
